The bilingual Kindergarten at Europa Schule Neu Kairo

The bilingual Kindergarten is an all-day facility that accepts children between 3 to 6 years of age into its Baby Class and Kindergarten classes. 

We divide the kindergarten groups per age into:

Baby Class (3-4 years)
*Children must be potty trained before entering Baby class.

- Kindergarten Class (4-5 years)

- Preschool Class (5-6 years)

In the Kindergarten

We follow the German Curriculum.

German class: is offered daily and is led by a German teacher & a German-speaking assistant.
English class: is offered daily and is led by two English-speaking teachers.
We also offer DaF (German as a foreign language) and ESL (English as a second language) lessons.
Arabic class: is led by a certified Arabic teacher and is offered twice a week for the kindergarten class and three times a week for the preschool class.
Music class: is offered in the English language once a week.
Sport lesson: is offered in the English language twice a week.

The focal points of our pedagogical concept/approach are:

 1) Social, cognitive, and emotional development of the child. 

 2) The role of nature as an environment in which the children grow and develop.  

 3) Through differentiated and personalized instructions, we want to ensure that we support the development of each child. 

Admission criteria:

BK: good knowledge of Arabic.

Kg1: good knowledge of Arabic and either German or English are required.

Kg 2: good knowledge of Arabic and German and English are preferred.

Kindergarten timings:

– We are open from Sundays to Thursdays. The day starts at 8:00 a.m. and we welcome our children at the kindergarten gate between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m.

– (Late arrival): Coming later than 8:00 a.m. is only allowed till 8:15 a.m. after the kindergarten has been informed in advance. Each child has three times permission to come late and his/ her parent should sign a late form, after the third time, child will not be able to enter the Kindergarten late again.

– Children who are not using the bus can be picked up from 2:25-245 p.m. There will be no supervision available for children after 2:45 p.m.

– (Late pickup): After 2:45 p.m. children will be waiting in the school yard with the Security until 3:00 pm (children names will be recorded in an after school tardy log) and procedures mentioned in our attendance policy will follow.
