Our Library
The library nurtures young minds and helps them with their academic progress, through providing a variety of texts from children's literature. The library has books in three languages: German, English, and Arabic. It combines both: fiction and non-fiction with a stretch of varying genres from poems and stories to history and science. The students should come to the library a minimum of one time per month in the three subjects: German. English, and Arabic; making them three visits in total for each class per month. The students are allowed to borrow books to read over the span of a week, and subject to renewal upon request.
The library offers a variety of activities, such as: “young authors’ shelf” where students write their own stories and leave it on the shelf so their friends, classmates, and teachers can read it. There is also the “stories dispenser” which offers the students stories with reading time from 1 to 3 minutes which makes it perfect for a-little-walk-to-class reading or break-reading. Moreover, we have a “musing board” where students share their opinions of the books they have read. It also includes some of their favorite characters drawn by the students themselves.
