School Start
Transferring from Kindergarten to primary school can be both an exciting and anxious time for parents and children. Parents and teachers are required to cooperate well to ensure a smooth transition.
Activities can be planned over a period of time to enable children to settle more quickly and progress in their learning, allowing them to grow confidently in school.
You can help them manage by:
- Stick to a daily routine from waking up in the morning to going to bed at night
- Have at least one meal per day together
- Set clear limits and boundaries
- Spend quality time with your child
- Encourage your child to talk about their day, and their worries
- Show trust in their teacher and the school
NOTE: Not all children develop at the same pace.
If your child finds school a bit tricky to begin with, don’t be discouraged, as they will get there in the end with your help and encouragement. Do let the school staff know about any concerns.
Any questions and queries you may have, please send a mail to the teacher or to the school office and we are happy to answer and help.
